Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority

Goa Coastal Zone management Authority is constituted by ministry of Environment and Forest, Government of India. In exercise of power conferred by subsection (1) and (3) of section 3 Environment(Protection) Act, 1986.

The mandate of the authority is to take measures for protecting and improving the quality of coastal Environment and preventing, abating and controlling environmental pollution in the areas of State of Goa. The powers and functions of the authority are subject to supervision and control of Central Goverment of India.

The Authority is constituted from time to time for a period of 3 years. The present Authority has been constituted as per Order No. S.O.3324(E) dated 26th October 2016 of Goverment of India, in the ministry of Environment and Forest.
